Can I also label "Samuelle - So you like what you see" as early 90's house?

I'm the first to admit that this is a silly post. But I need to clear things out. Personally I find this song to be a bit trippy and something you easily could do ecstacy with. And dance as intence as before. Still, it's labeled as New Jack Swing (or at least played at CSR 103.9 in GTA San Andreas). And one thing that comes to mind is a underground house club in britain in 1991. Am I way off?

Agreed. Just an 90's R&B track. No traces of House for me. I liked it at the time. Cool little mid-tempo song. Pretty much was a one hit wonder. His follow up to this did okay if I recall, but not as well as this one.

I know what the deal is. It's that running low key synth in the background throughout the whole song. That "dung-dung-dung" sound if you know what I mean. I recall that sound in a lot of early 90's house music. Sounds a bit acid. Yeah, that's why I was a bit confused.

Yeah. I figured that's what you were referencing. Cool jam though.

This song is certainly not, a house track...

Of course as a listener you can call it whatever you want . . . smile

Personally, I can't label this a house track.

It is a nice throwback 90's jam with a cool groove.

That "Show Me Love" Robin S type synth, and it's got that sloppy tambourine sample. It's too slow to be called house and the rest of the production style doesn't fit that.
