Thanks for that reminder! "Enjoy" is a worthy addition to her discography. Great groove, great inspiration. Beautiful melody. Her classic harmonies were intact on this one. I believe the Avila Brothers were involved with production too.

As far as your question is concerned; I don't think it was ever released as a single for one. Also, radio wasn't touching anything Janet back then. This was her first album released after the SB fallout. Yes, the blackball or blacklisting was real. Heard it straight from the radio programmers horses mouth.

anyway...i was pissed at first when i found out my pre-order code wont work for the 2nd leg of the tour until i realized i messed up by jumping the gun and doing the pre-order before my city was even listed.so i bought the mp3 and got a new code for tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty sure it is an AXS service charge. A lot of these ticket companies tack on a hefty surcharge. On my receipt it has a $2 facility charge and a $20.48 service charge. My $123 ticket ended up being $148.25 with the mail option for delivery. I got a $60 ticket for D'Angelo at First Avenue and it ended up being $73.39.

My Local Radio station is playing "No Sleep" all day & Night..I love it...I'm surprised to hear that the Single isnt doing good. The song is very well produced and Janet sings like a youthful 25yr old....This is a Great effort from her Team and if the Public sleeps on the singles and the entire Album then maybe it's time for Janet to design Clothes or Open up Eatery-joints...

BMG execs surprised by success of “No Sleeep”

BMG executives have been taken by surprise at the success of Janet’s first single No Sleeep from her upcoming album.

They have also said that the single was meant to be a “laid-back introduction” to the new era.

In a press release, published today, Jon Cohen from BMG US said:

“‘NO SLEEEP has completely taken us by surprise by how quickly it has taken off. What was meant to be a laid-back introduction to the campaign has taken Urban AC by storm, hitting the Top Five within three weeks and has sold 60,000 singles in two weeks. All I can say to all of Janet’s fans is ‘Wait til you hear the rest of the album!'”

The song has claimed the #5 spot on the Urban AC chart only three weeks after its debut. It has also seen a jump on Billboard’s Adult R & B chart, claiming the #6 spot, increasing its position from last week’s #8 spot.

Brad Wavra from Live Nation said:

“Fans across the continent have been showing Janet Jackson that their love for her and her music is ‘Unbreakable’. Ticket sales are on fire, we continue to add shows as demand for tickets is unprecedented.”

Keith Sarkisian of William Morris Endeavor added:

“We’re seeing an incredible response to the ‘Unbreakable’ Tour. Janet’s fans are thrilled with her new music and that she is touring again, shown by multiple sellouts around the country at venues like The Forum, Air Canada Center and Blaisdale Arena.”

This is like the old days when a song was a hit on urban radio first! Then crossed over to the pop charts later. Almost like 's "1999" single....

That's good to hear that some cities are playing it on a regular rotation. She does sound nice, especially in the bridge. I agree that she and team are on point with everything they've done so far. I still say it's too early to call it a failure. It's only been two weeks according to Billboard and it's debut pretty well on the Urban AC markets which is where this song was targeting (imho).

I think everyone was expecting a big dance "comeback" single for Pop, R&B, Urban AC, etc. This is not that. I'm sure the album has some dance tracks that everyone is anticipating. How well they'll do? We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm in the camp of likely to enjoy the project regardless of chart positions and radio impressions. But that's just me.

I bought a ticket for the Brooklyn show this morning in the section above the floor. Of course 30 minutes later after I already made my purchase, floor seats became available.

oh ok,you didnt have to buy it if you already had the pre-order code.ibought the bundle from her website but it was before the 2nd leg was announced and i was told the code would not work so i had to buy the album again to get a new code. some people are saying their old codes did work for the 2nd leg. well i got my floor seats so im good.
