I hate to admit it but timing might just be everything when it comes to the music. We'd like to think that the music would speak for itself but it looks like people's reception of it is key. If they ain't ready it won't move. Maybe that's Prince's problem (well one of them at least).

Yeah people seem to be really receptive to it. It still doesn't help that an out-of-nowhere single just might have a harder time getting over then one that was promoted just a little. If he proceeds to form there will be no promo, the single will die, and yet another Prince track will disappear from everyone's radar.

Your right. But I'm so glad Janet is doing music that is her instead of following what's hot right now. I don't care how commercially successful it is just as long as its her. One of the reasons I did not like discipline or 20Y.O. was because to me it wasn't Janet. "No Sleeep" is Janet.

ihavent picked up on anything from her camp concerning a video so i really dont know if she has one planned, or maybe she wanted to wait and see how the song would be recepted.after the bet tribute gil tweeted time for tour rehearsals, he didnt say anything about a video shoot.the tour is right around the corner so if she's doing a video i think she better get on it.

I thought Ciara killed it, and Jason and Tinashe were wonderful. Janet was radiant. The love she was getting throughout the entire telecast was great.

Yeah I liked the tribute even though I thought it was a bit too short. I also wished there would have been a bit of singing to go along with all the dancing.
