This is one of my favorite Rick songs, even though it was a cover. Fantastic version.

Did you know this video is one of the first videos ever directed by David Fincher?

It was a minor hit in Australia for the band Mondo Rock, the music was re-written by Rick Springfield and Tim Pierce who was Rick's drummer from the mid 70's all the way till 1999. One of his best of his "hits" though people forget many of his hits because of the ICONIC hit he had, some think he was a one hit wonder. But Rick had a run of 17 straight top 40 hits even charting a B-side, remember when that used to happen?

I didn't know until now that his version is a cover. A really good one, I would say.

Hate to correct you, but Tim Pierce is a famous (and great) session guitarist, not drummer.

I love the song myself. Great high tech AOR or whatever you call it.

Thanks to my Dad and VHS, I still own the whole broadcast LOL, but I dont remember the BBC feed showing "State of the heart"?, yet I definately remember "Human Touch" and "Love somebody" as me and my siblings watched the whole damn thing over and over again as kids LOL.
