This article reeks of the ususal sarcasm with a hint of hateration. The only modicum of thruth is regarding the deal itself. Yes, she does have total stock in this record, and that's the way it should be when you get to her level. Janet is legendary. There is NO COMPETITION with the flashes in the pan that are named. I personally feel that it is great that Janet is financing her own project. That means that she will hold all the power when it comes to the songs and videos she wants to release. She is doing something that most artist want to do but are either to afraid or can't afford to do. Forbes magazine actually did an article on this and said what a great idea it is. They just got the news about Conversations I A cafe, that's all lol
I'm not worried when it comes to Japan. All Janet's albums were hits there. She's one of only 7 ladies who sold over million records in Japan (she sold almost 3 million, only Whitney, Mariah and Celine sold more. Madonna is at the same level as Janet). For instance All For You album sold better than all albums by Britney Spears or Beyonce combined.

I like everyone am excited to hear some new music. However, just thought I'd let you guys know that I heard probably one of the best megamixes of most of her dance songs today in Atlanta. V-103 (owned by CBS) was promoting her new tour hard from early this morning, to the afternoon drive home hour with a dope mix from DJ Baby Yu. If you guys can find it on his podomatic site its worth the find. He had the familiar classics but he used them in a new way. Plus, he included her most recent album cuts that weren't singles and remixes instead of just album versions. - I don't know if he's on yt or not though. | |
