Did En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" borrow heavily from Gladys Knights' "License To Kill" I just discovered Gladys Knight's "License To Kill" song today while watching VH1 Soul. I can't believe I'm just hearing this 1989 song now. It's bloody FANTASTIC! I have a new favorite Bond song! Did a little research and can see why I love it so....it was produced by Narada Michael Walden and Walter Afanasieff (why couldn't these two collaborate together more often for other divas)?
Anyways, I can't get over the production similarities to En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" (produced by Organized Noize).
What do you think? Did the Organize Noize essentially copy it?

Wow! Is it in the same key too or something? It sounds very alike. And I love it! I really enjoy her voice. | |

I never noticed similarities but when Gladys' song first came out, I thought it was going to be a huge crossover hit for her but it pretty much ended up falling on deaf ears. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
