I think it would be cool if she had one. There are a lot of Janet fans here and there have been a lot of threads made on her lately. Having a sticky is not necessarily a "bad thing" but when there are no latest music news about the artist I don't see the point in the sticky i.e. MJ but I think that MJ sticky is there because they just don't want no MJ threads in this non prince section

I don't understand why folks complain about Janet or anyone else's threads. If you're not interested in them, just don't look at it. It's that simple. I don't click on D'Angelo, Mint Condition, Lady Gaga, or Van Hunt threads, because they don't interest me. If other people like their music and want to discuss them, that's fine. If they want to make 10 threads about them, more power to them, it doesn't bother me. It's not like many people pay attention to most of the other topics, unless it is something negative. If somebody started a Bryan Adams thread, it wouldn't get many views or responses, but "Bryan Adams sucks" will. If no one cared about the Jacksons or D'Angelo threads, then they would go down the tubes quickly like a thread started by TheAudience. He doesn't even post here anymore. It seems to me folks are really complaining about popular threads rather than Janet or Mike, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe they're jealous that more people like talking about Janet instead of their so-called "real music by real musicians".

And the reason that she's always mentioned on prince.org is because she's one of Prince's peers. They were both popular in the 80s and 90s, both made Minneapolis-funk-oriented music, hell they even looked alike for a time period, and they both had a run of critically acclaimed albums around the same time period. IT's not hard to see how being a fan of Prince would lead one to being a fan of Janet or vice versa
