EPIC LIVE Performances from Your favorite SANGERS

Since people went apesh*t over my thread about Janet's "I Get Lonely" performance at the Rosie O'Donnell Show in 1998, I'd like to for people to post performances of the best of their favorite SANGERS. I'd really like to discover and listen to some great SANGIN'

.

cool

For various reasons....this performance had me transfixed at the time.

I musta been about 18-20....this girl was babysitting these kids who were watching this. 5 and 7 year olds or summin. Britney's highbeams were on full blast and I'm ....like i said 18-20....it made for a uncomfortable situation that left a lasting impression.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I am not a huge lady gaga fan or nothing....so dont get me wrong.

But heres a more contemporary example of a live, dynamic vocal performance...IMO faaaar more emotive than that 'presentation' by miss jackson.

Cynic threw some whitney up....but does anyone else have some more contemporary performances to offer. Good SANGERS arent relegated to the bygone eras.

Try u out some Alabama shakes...

That bassist in the kangol damn near steals the show, bathing in a bowl of subdued.

You can post who you want, and I'll post who I like. The OP didn't specify new or old.

Excellent example of a strong vocal performance that isnt lip synced...not my genere but a strong performance.

Did the word cynical in the song lend itself to its nomination? Hehe

I agree mickey...keep em coming. Maybe I came across wrong but it was more of a statement toward what wasn't there versus what was.

Keep 'em comin' Mickey! biggrin And as for BobGeorge909, I'm actually partial to older performances, so I don't see the reason why there needs to be more contemporary performances, I'm not much of a fan of music from this generation.

.

Anyway, here are some of mine:
