Guess Nicki will win the Female Best Hip Hop award again...

I'd like Kendrick to win best male hip hop, and maybe he will and Janelle Monae to win best female pop/R&B but she won't against Beyonce (and Rihanna)...these people always give the awards to the same persons so Beyonce and N. Minaj will win again as always.

Nicki Minaj has competition from Tink this year.

Sad to say but....the "official" comeback was a bust with that audience He had a shot 2 years ago and blew it by not dropping the record right after his BET awards appearance. Even Jodeci played it right by striking while the iron was still hot.

Who is "that audience?" It was number 1 on R&B charts, top 5 on the pop charts.

Dr. Bobby Jones is ending his 35yr Gospel show on BET next year (I think)....I'lll be SHOCKED if he's not getting The Lifetime Achievement award this year...If he does The Who's who among Gospel Artists will pay tribute...

Nominees that can go ahead and write their acceptance speeches

1) Taraji (2015 "It Chick" also nominated for a "Peoples Choice Award", Best Actress)

2) Erica Campbell (Her Solo LP won The Dove, won 6 Stellar Awards & The Grammy)

How the hell is BET JUST NOW giving Stevie Wonder the lifetime achivement award?! I don't understand how Whitney Houston (God bless the dead) got one before Stevie. Stevie was arguably the greatest export of Black American music in the '70s and his stature in the pantheon on Black music in any genre is indelible and indisputable. At any rate, I hope BET procures some ace musicians to participate in the tribute. The last great tribute at the BET Awards was in 2006 was when Yolanda Adams, India Arie, Andrew Gouche, Stevie Wonder and Prince performed in honor of Chaka Khan.

Probably only giving to Stevie because the Grammy had that special earlier this year.

I hope the performers during the Stevie Wonder tribute know the difference between a sharp and flat. I have a feeling Jamie Foxx, Drake, Nicki Minaj will bogart for social media followers and bossip hits.

True. It's not like Stevie hasn't been honored or awarded before. Very predictable. but it's Stevie. BET did a great 2-hour long Walk of Fame tribute to him back in 2003 and that sealed the deal for me.

Next weekend it goes DOWN

Viola Davis will probably take Best Actress for her over-acting in "How To Get Away With Murder".

If there's any justice Gabrielle Union will win for her stellar work in "Being Mary Jane"!

BET Awards is geared towards youth. D'Angelo's music is not geared towards that demographic. But, they could have at least nominated him for the Centric Award.

i thought that 7/11 song was like a parody or something, i had no idea it was a real award worthy song/video. does nicki release new music every year? she gets this award every single year.its not official but enough people has hinted that janet is getting the lifetime award this year and ciara, tinasha and somebody name jason derulo are tributing her.

If Janet gets that award. I will watch. Other than that I usually don't watch the BET awards. The last time I watched was in 2009 when they did the thing for Micheal.

nobody has denied the janet rumors, her label announcement said 'BET honored', she has never been honored by BET, and after elgin charles (celeb hair stylist) named ciara,tinisha and jason derulo as performers, gil started following all 3 of them on twitter.
