Ultimate Guitar pick the ten greatest pop artists of all time.

http://www.ultimate-...f_all_time.html

10. Elvis Presley
It's interesting how one King got to open the list, and the other one got to close it. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, give it up for the King - Mr. Elvis Presley!

9. Stevie Wonder
Up next is the king of Motown. His music covers multiple genres, and pop is definitely one of them. It's the one and only Stevie Wonder!

8. The Beach Boys
Whatever you do, do not discard the Beach Boys as "surf rock crap" or "lightweight pop crap" or whatever. With "Pet Sounds" alone, the boys have secured their spot in the pantheon, and they actually have quite a bit of other quality efforts to show off too. Anyhow, a No. 8 spot it is.

7. Bee Gees
If "Stayin' Alive" doesn't give you an urge to jiggle your booty, you're either forcing it or not human. But before epitomizing disco with falsetto vocals and all, the Bee Gees presented some quality albums way back in the '60s, just check out stuff like "Odessa" or "1st."

6. Prince
In the words of UG user LiveToRock86, "Only makes sense on this site to go with a pop star that shreds guitar." Also, a neat fact from a few months ago - at this moment, Prince has enough unreleased music in his legendary vault to release an album a year until sometime in the 22nd century.

5. ABBA
Cracking the list in half, Swedish icons ABBA have established themselves not only as pop superstars, but also as skilled musicians and gifted songwriters.

4. David Bowie
David Bowie is without a hint of doubt one of the most diverse musicians of all time, and pop realm is quite prominent in his eclectic repertoire.

3. Elton John
Fetching the bronze this week is Sir Elton John. His early work is more than enough to rank him among the titans, just take a listen to "Honky Chateau," "Tumbleweed Connection," or "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road."

2. The Beatles
Consider them rocker, but The Beatles were key figures in the birth of modern pop in so many ways that a spot higher up on the list is inarguable. A silver medal for the Fab Four, they were beaten only by the King of Pop himself.

1. Michael Jackson
Hardly surprising, the King still reigns supreme.
