Umm.... the name is familiar, but... which country is Dr. Zeus from? I hope to hell it's India, why should foreigners be producing OUR songs.....?

Zeus is British-born Indian. I'm mixed race, half Punjabi and half English.

Bollywood has a rich history of British-Asian artists working on tracks. I myself did a song with my cousin for the movie "Corporate" starring Bipasha Basu a few years ago and have been approached this year for more work with my band, Swami.

My first cousin, Apache Indian, has also done several songs for Bollywood over the years.

Apache Indian is your COUSIN????!!! My God! I used to LOVE "Caste System" back in 1993, and also "Make Way for the Indian" in 1995!! Also "Chok There" which I reheard couple of months back, first time in YEARS!!

Please give him my best, and tell him to KEEP MAKING MORE MUSIC!!

Excellent.....I looooove Bollywood music.

One of my all time favorites from way back in '98.....Bollywood's got a lotta soul.

I love Amitabh Bachchan's moves too....he is so graceful and fine.

Please post some more of the newer stuff for me to check out.

Yep Zeus did that Rouge track. Me, my band, Zeus and Rouge all travelled to India together to perform at the MTV Awards when that came out. "Feel Your Body" and our single at the time, "DesiRock" were the two biggest songs on the label that we were both signed to at the time, Envy Entertainment.

And yeah, Apache is my cousin. The first album "No Reservations" that "Chok There" was on was produced by my cousins Simon and Diamond, and Diamond is the bandleader of Swami, the band in which I am in. We're all first cousins (Apache's dad, my mom, and Simon & Diamond's mom were siblings).

Also the track that babynoz posted, "Om Numah Shivayah" was also produced by my cousin Simon.

OK, now that I've been exuberant and effervescent and all, I have to take the conversation in a more serious direction - sorry to do this, but it needs to be done.

Umm.... brother, you're exoticising and marketing India to a Western audience! I don't like this. While I like your music itself, and feel it's badly needed to hip up Indian music (cause let's face it, our music makers aren't up to the mark), it's wrong of you to do this. What the hell kind of a name is "Swami"? You don't find an African group called "The Witch Doctors" do you? What's that little sample on the Rouge song that sounds like a Punjabi guy? This is demeaning to you and me both, and I want you to stop it. Find some way of staying cool without doing this - it shouldn't be too hard.

Ok, I'll finish with a joke - Punjabi MC isn't your long lost brother, is he?

Wrong? What makes it wrong? We want Indian people to be as successful in the Western market as black musicians are. It's that simple, really. Nothing wrong with that. This is our identity and we are free to spread our culture the way we choose. Indian music is a rich culture and people should be exposed to it in the western market, in the same way that all black musician can be traced back to African culture or in the same way that reggae takes Jamaican culture all around the world. Why should Indian music only be appreciated by Indian people?

I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make.

For the record, I'm British-Asian. Therefore the music I make is both British, and Asian. It has English parts and it has Punjabi and Hindi parts, because I am both English and Hindu-Punjabi.

If you have an issue with that, I suggest you blame the British invaders who colonized India
