NWA - Straight outta Compton Cyndi Lauper - She's so unusual Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are you experienced (Best of all time) The Doors - The Doors Mariah Carey - Mariah Carey (That first album is really focussed and has the break out hits, Vision of Love and Love takes time to heal, amongst others) Whitney Houston (Self titled) - again a great first album and probably her best ever. TTD - Introducing the Hardline Donna Summer - Love to love you baby (Yes she had singles before, but this was her first album with the sublime 16 minute version of Love to love you baby) Madonna - Madonna, the first album - this is surprisingly tight and only two songs are slightly fillery, Physical Attraction and burning up are great too besides the epic Borderline. Doggystyle - Snoop Doggy Dogg Ready to Die - Notorious BIG Public Enemy - Yo Bum rush the show! The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Missy E -Supa dupa fly (At least I think it's her first) Off the Wall (Michael Jackson, well its his first ADULT solo album) The Time - Self titled Sheila E - The Galamorous Life Jill Jones - Self titled * These protege albums would outstrip their later work (Xcept What time is it, but For You is way below most of Prince's 20th century output).
Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name | |
