The prices did seem quite high. But given the glowing reviews of the shows so far, they seem worth it.

The public sale starts on Friday (for DC at least...not sure about other cities). I got mine yesterday through the Citi card member presale. All I had to do was enter my "offer code," which was the first six digits of my Citi card account number.

I logged in and had two tickets, then changed my mind. $86 for SRO, and after watching the Afro Punk set with the roots on YouTube, was not $200 impressed.

But best wishes

The AfroPunk show was a very different set, if I recall.

It wasn't so much the set list , but the performance. I just felt it was minded ragged. Watched another performance of "untitled " with the vanguard and again thought it was decent , not mind blowing. I'd rather a diehard fan get those two tickets than me

D is playing the Starland?!?! Holy shit. The Starland holds maybe about 1500 people tops, and the stage is set up in a way that it overlaps into the GA floor, and the artist is literally right there in the crowd with you. Theres not much of a blockade, and if you manage to get to the very front, you'de be no more than 3 feet from D'Angelo. Saw PFunk there last summer and Down back in 2008 there, helluva place to catch a gig. Tickets are gonna be stupid expensive.

Get in your mouse, and get out of here!

Has anyone here ever been to the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD? That's where I'm seeing D. I've never been to that venue before.

It's right in the heart of downtown silver spring. Get there early-- those folks start lining up around 2-3 pm for A 7 pm door opening

For those who may be pissed that D' isn't making a Chicago stop.

D will be preforming at the North Coast Music 2015

If you decide to get a ticket for the fest.....let me know, I'll be there, we can hook-up.

I'm anticipating quick sellouts rolleyes , but I'll be aiming to make it to one of these all the same!

Do whatever it takes to buy a ticket. This tour is a MUST SEE. Don´t miss out on this one. I saw him in 2001 and a few months ago....both shows were superb, especially the new tour.

I ended up getting a ticket really easily. I don't even think it's sold out here yet, which really surprises me considering all of the hype a few months ago over his grand return.
If you will, so will I

I was surprised at the ticket prices! Higher than what I had intended to pay, but I just kept telling myself, this will probably be the only time I see him perform ever, considering his output frequency. lol

I've been here a ton. It's a nice venue. Pretty good size, so get there early for a good spot, and good luck with parking if you're running late.
