OH MY GOD, in Chi-town? Yes. Watching You, they've worn that song out too.

I heard Party Lights last night and they have '12 inch version they've overplayed for over decade. In fact if you didn't know it, you would think that Slave were two hit wonders.

"Brick House" is played so much in my area,I (almost) never wanna hear it ever again!

When I hear Brick House I turn off the car radio.

Our NPR station , now plays Funk/House/R&B/Soul on Saturdays nights. To the DJ's credit, he isn't lazy and doesn't play well known hits or mixes of singers and bands. I so appreciate that...

Crazy! Classic/Old-School R&B has to be the most predictable format on radio. Here in Detroit, it's the same artists/song in constant rotation every few hours. Kem and Charlie Wilson every hour! I miss the days when DJ's weren't forced to stick to a playlist. We used to have a radio station, WGPR, where the DJ's played album cuts that were never singles. Unfortunately, they are no longer operating because of ratings. I guess the public wants to here the same stuff over and over again. I wouldn't care if I never heard "Brick House" or "Super Freak" ever again!

We got the same problem here in Philly, even when the dj's come in and mix they play the same records.

I'm looking up Discogs tomorrow to find that 12 inch. The only songs from the Showtime album i remember DJs playing in my area was Snapshot and Wait For Me.

The 12 inch version I have somewhere. I"m sure its a Chicago Mix it was sold... cough cough.. barber / beauty shop / festivals . I told you guys years ago I was a Slave to Slave.... I don't even listen to them anymore. When their music comes up on my server, I click next.

me too It makes me angry that I have to do that,because I actually love that song.I'm just tired of hearing it all the time! The Commodores had many,many great jams....why focus on only THAT one? I swear,these radio stations piss me off sometimes,lol.
