Famous pop/rock SINGERS who actually took singing lessons or studied vocals informally/formally Again, another series of demystifying pop/rock stars, these famous pop/rock singers actually studied vocals formally (formal music school, etc)/informally (church, took singing lessons with vocal coaches, etc). So they actualy worked hard on their singing skills.
Please add more to the list, but those who never hit it big don't qualify.

Almost all of them.
Contary to popular myth, hardly anybody is born with an innate ability to sing brilliantly. Even singers like Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston trained for years.

I remember seeing those ads for the vocal coach, Seth Riggs, in the back of magazines when I was young. They would list almost everybody who was anybody as having worked with him. I assume it was true.
