I think they get lumped into ''alternative r&b'' and they didn't fit the mod of poppy r&b. So people assume Frank Ocean, The Weekend, and miguel are the same. Frank is the best songwriter out of all of them. And miguel is the best singer... but they all have different styles. I wish The Weekend lived up to his hype though...
