After canceling his tour with Culture Club last year due to vocal issues, Boy George has announced dates for a new North American summer tour with the band.

The iconic '80s group will trek across 12 states plus Canada, playing some of their greatest hits as well as new songs from their upcoming album, Tribes.

The tour will kick off July 20 in Denver, Colorado. Culture Club will wrap things up on August 16 in Orlando, Florida.

No announcement yet about when tickets will go on sale. Culture Club’s initial North American tour, which was supposed to start last November, was scrapped after Boy George discovered a polyp in his throat.

Doctors ordered him not to sing so as not to exacerbate the condition. The group’s U.K. tour was also canceled. Rescheduled dates in the U.K. and other countries will be announced soon, according to Boy George's website.

He has this odd Jekyll and Hyde personality. He came across as really nice and lovely on American Idol, but he was so awful in that documentary. Who is the real George?

Of all the artists out there that I follow, he seems to be a very different person in private than he is in public.

Exactly! Hearing Karma Chameleon in that gravelly voice now, just seems off. What a shame because I think he's cool but i can't deal with that voice.

All of that stuff sounds weird to me! "Black Money" "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" all of it.

Quick-witted and interesting he may be still, I would have to take his "new voice" into account when deciding whether or not to buy a ticket.

He hasn't mentioned this on either Facebook or Twitter so he can't be very excited about it. Not holding my breath for this to actually happen unfortunately.

He mentioned it on American Idol. He is also on the red carpet at the iheart radio music awards wearing his "Do you Really Want to Hurt me" t shirt.

Yes, George, I am going to really want to hurt you if you cancel again!!

They are booked near me so I don't have to travel or book a hotel, so if it is cancelled at least I won't lose money.
