Written whilst his late wife was battling terminal cancer. Fucking heartbreaking and genius at the same time.

Beautiful song! One of my favs actually. Paul has had many genius moments when writings songs.

Possibly his best album (SOLO). "Little Willow" was another one and "Someday" Paul and Linda had also just lost a close friend of the family to cancer too

You can hear the musical connection between this one and "Blackbird."

I think Paul McCartney is the greatest pop musician that ever lived and I am ever thankful to be
a recipient of his art.
