be clear...this album was, and still is, trash... all it did was confirm that Michael, Jermaine & Janet should be the only Jackson siblings ever allowed near a recording studio [

What this album really confirmed to me is that,Michael should have left the group after Off The Wall biggrin

Michael should have left the group after "I Want You Back"

And that proves that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Or he was just carrying on with his tradition of doing hit duets with Legends..

Paul Mccartney, Freddie Mercury ect..

It's a very mediocre album. It's obvious that Michael didn't wanna participate, but he felt obligated.Notice that,on one of his contributions ("State Of Shock"),he sings with Mick Jaggger instead of one of his own brothers. That tells you how he really felt about his brothers lol

The "Body" video is hilarious biggrin alot of unintentional humor in that clip

I think "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" is better than anything on Victory.Epic should have fought hard to have that song included on Victory.

I can understand "State of Shock" but "One More Chance"? Some disjointed lines aside, it's a very strong tune.

We need the outtakes to appear. Buffalo Bill and others.

Also, greatest album cover ever.

Could've sworn I heard it a few years ago when I looked it up on YouTube but I'm likely remembering incorrectly.

Wasn't Victory (the track with Freddie Mercury) supposed to be released as part of the recent Queen project?

As for songs on the album, I always liked this mix of Torture

"Victory is a very good al... I said it"

Alex Jones says Obama was born in Kenya. Saying something doesn't make it true. I'm sure it's a very good album to you, though. That much is certainly true.

Victory was a pretty disappointing album, overall...Torture, One more chance and State of shock were monster jams, but the rest was pretty meh...

But I love their earlier albums, Thriumph, Destiny and parts of Going places rank among the best of MJs work! Don't even get me started on their fantastic live album!!!

Teddy Riley did some songs on the 2300 Jackson Street album including the title track. I wonder did Mike choose him for Dangerous as a result of this.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

No doubt Victory is a disappointment and was even more so with the spectacle surrounding the Jacksons at the time of its release but the music is still good. I'd replace "State of Shock" with "Wait" (should have been a single), "The Hurt", or even "We Can Change the World" (which had single potential as well).

As for albums, their CBS debut, The Jacksons is pretty good too. Even more underrated than Triumph and Destiny. Despite all the hate it gets, 2300 Jackson Street is a hot album to even if the brothers' star power wasn't what it used to be. It was a nice foray into new jack swing. Overall, as The Jacksons they have a great lineup of albums.

Mick Jagger's solo career didn't seem to do that well except for a couple of duets, State Of Shock + Dancing In The Street with David Bowie.

Was he solo in 1984?

No, I think the Stones were still releasing singles from their 1983 album Undercover. Mick's 1st solo album came out in 1985, and then another Stones album came out in 1986, and Mick released a solo in 1987.
