Menudo ~ Solo Tu, Solo Yo

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember they had a movie, but it was in Spanish. In the late 1980s I used to watch MTV International which was hosted by Daisy Fuentes. They'd show Emmanuel & Cheyanne a lot. There was a girl group that I don't remember the name of whose videos were shown fairly often too. Cheyanne had a Pepsi commercial around that time.

I vaguely remember Cheyenne. Not so much the girl group though...

I own 3 of their English 80's albums. Bought them long before youtube aswell LOL. I was even the first to post the 12 inch of "you got potential", but that account got suspended unfortunately and I havn't bothered to re-upload it. The 12 inch mixes were pretty nice too.

Their "Sons of rock" album is by far my favourite. So, so cheesy and dated, but I love some of it.

Do you remember about how many there were? If it was three it could have been Pandora or Flans, if it was mixed with boys and girls it could have been Timbirichi.

Change it one more time..

That's not the group. I think it was two women. One of them looked similar to actress Kristian Alfonso.

Persecusion is my fave song from the Evolucion album. Its kind of edgy and funky!
The Roby Rosa era was the best. He's really talented. Other songs by Menudo i like are Subete a mi moto, Fuego, Ella, Hold me, etc.
