Biggest decade (music).

I want to know what was the biggest decade for music. I say 80s .
60s,70s,80s, or 90s?

The 1960s of course. We have The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Bob Dylan, Stax, Motown, Woodstock. Can't beat that.

I was wondering about that too. I defined it as "most influential artists". If you define "big" as "record sales" however, it would be the 1980s.

Oh yes, the 80s were awesome. 'Má vlast' by Smetana, Tchaikovsky's Fifth, Liszt's later Hungarian Rhapsodies...

.

But at the same time I don't want to overlook the 1930s for all the eternal jazz standards that came out of it.

Hard to choose between 60's 70's & 80's. 90's were good but midway through the decade the music started to go down hill.
