Sands of time is the first album of theirs I heard
When I was 4-5yrs old in 86'..so it always has a special place in my heart.
I begun to hear their earlier work here and there on the
radio in early 90s...my parents had take your time on a 45..id always confuse..just be good to me,no one's gonna love you and Loose ends hanging on a string ..similar sound..
My parents bought Diamonds in the raw..So im familiar with it..I like the track men don't cry

In late 99' I was listening to the radio and
S.O.S( dit dit dit dash dash) came on..Didn't know the name of it at the time..But it blew me away..Hands down one of their best songs.

My parents also bought a greatest hits cd of theirs in 89'
I loved High Hopes and Groovin off it..which segways into my fav album of theirs..

"SOS III"! Leon Sylvers was a helluva producer at Solar Records..The brilliant eirk he did for his brothers and sisters group,The Whispers,Dynasty,Shalamar..you name it..So he basically had them play his sound.lol.It's them.but his musical styles and direction...High hopes was produced by their most famous and future signature collaborators..Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis..which also internship..with sylvers..cause I saw their name pop up on dynasty's " check it out"album producing a track or two and Cheryl Lynn's long version of" Encore" has sounds in it..I heard from sylvers produced albums.

...But back to Sos III.Not a bad song on it..Good and Plenty. If this is the way,Youre love is the one for me,You shook me up,Groovin,High hopes..etc..I play this album and sands of time more than the others.

I agree 110%! I LOVED the S.O.S Band. The Just the Way cd is one my favorite R&B cds of all-time.
