OMG. Really hideous. It actually hurt my ears to listen to this & I gave up half way through. This could have been a great idea. I love Evelyn King & her usual deep, sassy vocal. This could be any of the garbage out there. Why call yourselves First Ladies Of Disco & NOT do disco?? Weird!!

I'm sure if a full album comes to fruition, there will be "dance" songs on it (how could there not?), but this single is actually pretty rock-sounding, in a "Kelly Clarkson/Beyonce 'Halo'/Cher anthem" kinda-way. The concept sounds more like a reality-TV show, like Real Housewives of Disco, but these ladies really deserve to have their voices heard again. ECK was only 17 when her first album came out (which was really YOUNG) back in 1977. MW held her own as a back-up singer for Sylvester (and did you know she won out over the Pointer Sisters - who also auditioned for the gig?), creating Two Tons of Fun/The Weather Girls with her Sylvester-backup-singer-partner Izora Rhodes (Rhodes' daughters have tried to recreate a new generation of Weather Girls with some success in Europe since Rhodes' death). And LC, the oldest of the First Ladies of Disco, is a former Miss New York State, and fronted a jazz music trio before switching to R&B. After winning her title, Clifford started working as an actress, playing minor roles in major films such as The Boston Strangler with Tony Curtis and Henry Fonda, Coogan's Bluff with Clint Eastwood and Sweet Charity with Shirley MacLaine. Unsatisfied with her roles, Clifford decided to concentrate on her singing career, performing for a year in Miami-area night clubs with the Jericho Jazz Singers, before forming her own group Linda & The Trade Winds. As far as a supergroup, these ladies have the credibility to back it up!

Omg after i heard it, i said this sounds like a Kelly Clarkson song. Why the hell are these grown talented women singing this pop crap. They're too good for this. Totally wrong for them.

What were they thinking with this garbage?

Seems like they were trying to score a hit on the Top 40 with this derivative, assembly line, shallow present-day pop crap.

It's alright. I think this could get a lot of airplay on the local adult contemporary station if it was by an act with major label backing. It's not really much different than the music Martha has been doing in recent years.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I like the idea of supergroups....solo artists coming together to form a new group.Just wish they had a better single.I'd be interesting in hearing a full album from them.

My bf actually knows Linda Clifford! Should I have him ask her?? She's a total sweetheart.
