a) first of all, I'm glad she's ok, that fall could have easily injured her pelvis/back

b) I still think she's using WAY TOO MUCH dancing/gaudy shit on stage, so this fall was like karma for me, she needs to get back to the formula of her old tours...

Then I realized she could have broken her neck, especially in those heels. So I am glad that she is alright - she kept singing afterwards - and tweeted later that she is fine. She was probably mortified!

I'm glad she's alright too. That looked painful!

Same. The fact she sang "My God" then went over made it funny. Then the part of me that used to like Madonna felt bad for her.

although Madonna is not a fav of mine, I do hope she did not sustain any bone damage. she seems in very good shape physically so i doubt if she was hurt (except for her pride as a highly admired performer).

Madonna has fallen onstage before...most notably,during the Confessions tour in 2006.It's in this video compilation.Happens quite frequently,to many artists...

her shoes look so uncomfortable and unstable, I really think it would be better to put on shoes ballet flats.
I don't think it was intentional, because falling backwards dangerous and traumatic. BUT it can really help her in the UK charts, which were not very supportive for her in recent years

That was Sticky & Sweet Tour during "She's Not Me"...interesting to see the Prince clip just after, he even makes falling over look cool! Bet there was a few salivating women there to catch him

The odd part about the Fall is that the Dancers did not jump up & help her..That's the FIRST gut-reaction we have when a Woman falls...

You'd think so, but I guess most of them were frozen to the spot in an "Oh, shit" moment like most of us were....to be fair it looked like they freed her from the cape pretty quick and stuck to the routine.

Not alot else they could have done except made a big thing of it, helped her up, let her take a bow and then have Madge say "stop the track I wanna start this again"...would have been funny to see and great to see her acknowledge the screw up and demand to take another swing, but the backing track was ploughing on and considering it was live with a time limit to hit for the TV schedules they wouldn't have gone down well with the suits I expect!

Madonna assures fans she is 'fine' after Brits stage fall

Madonna has assured fans that she's fine after taking a tumble during her performance of Living for Love at the Brit Awards held at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday. After being inundated with messages of support from fans, the pop star posted her own message on Instagram alongside an image of the infamous cape that caused the minor incident.

"Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight!" she wrote. "But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine!"

Madonna, 56, fell backwards down three steps after her cape refused to detach. Her outfit, which quickly became the talking point of the evening on the Twittersphere, was the creation of her stylist B Akerlund. Alongside the cape it featured a custom-made sleek leather jacket which was embellished with black crystals and ruby stones as well as an "M" emblem.
