i've just finished watching a dvd of peter gabriel's secret world tour. what a great concert. my friend had seen that tour when it came to atlanta many years ago, and has been raving about it ever since, so when he got it he had to have me over for thai food and a viewing.

what a tremendous stage show, very theatrical, but not so cheesy to distract from the music. it's hard to do something that theatrical where it doesn't distract, but he came up with stuff that makes a perfect compliment to the music.

the band is really great, l. shankar on violin, i had seen him with john mclaughlin back in the 70's, and heard him play with zappa before. tony levin on bass and stick, great musician, very innovative. and oddly enough, paula cole on backing vocals. i didn't know that's "where she came from".

really a great show from a consummate artist

I saw this tour in Denver and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I wet my pants when I saw the DVD at Best Buy.

I bought this DVD a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't agree more. Just innovative, beautiful and almost on another level that not everyone can take in.

Being a musician, I can only aspire to communicate on this level.
