"Human" and "Lonely" are all based on this song--their best ballad. It's their best S.O.S. Band production...Hot R&B before the pop....Jam's keyboard strikes...He had a lot of them in this song, but they never tire.. A ballad you can dance to? Drive to...Let that wind hit your face in the late Spring early Summer..
This Jam & Lewis/S.O.S song influenced Loose Ends probably the most..Production-wise.. The others influenced their writing, and duets more..

It dawned on me that I'm not entirely sure which tracks they did for Alexander O'Neal

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I will just pick one Janet song
Funny how time flies - perhaps the best baby making track of all time! Karyn white - Thinking about love Petals - Mariah - is sweet
And if 'Lady dejour' is considered a ballad - i'd choose that too - that album was slamming!!!!

- You know...I forget that she worked with Jam&Lewis before. Someone here at the org hipped me to this song they produced for her and it's my favorite that I've heard from their collaborations. I'm sure there may be more stuff they've done but just hadn't heard it yet....Anyway, enjoy.. - - - - They definitely borrowed freely from the Brothers Johnson on the chorus background vocals. Very lush, beautiful harmonies. [Edited 4/17/15 7:56am]

"Say You Love Me Again" - Change "Tell Me If You Still Care" - S.O.S. Band "Weekend Girl" - S.O.S. Band "Sands Of Time" - S.O.S. Band "Making Love In The Rain" - Herb Alpert (feat. Lisa Keith & Janet Jackson) "Everything I Miss At Home" - Cherrelle "Chante's Got A Man" - Chante Moore "When A Woman Loves" - Miss Patti "Make Tonight Beautiful" - Miss Patti "Did You Ever Love Me" - Deborah Cox
I've chosen these because they're so tender and beautiful in both melody and lyric.
