Trent (is or was) a huge P fan..Supposedly he found out from someone that P drove around in his car cranking "Pretty Hate Machine" when it first came out. Trent was elated to hear that obviously. The story goes that Trent was in a studio mixing some of his music and heard that P was would be on the premisies..When Trent saw P he walked over to him and started speaking to him and thanking him and P breezed right by him without looking or saying anything...Trent said this in a interview years ago..It might have been the Alternative Press magazine....Sad because I would have liked to have heard a collabo with those two.

Interesting story. Trent's indeed a big P fan. He also sampled Alphabet Street in Ringfinger.

You just can't expect Prince to act like a normal human being who follow social conventions and social niceties. I think if you're a big fan of Prince and know him well, you kind of expected that. It's like, when you let Prince borrow your guitar, you should expect that Prince would probably throw it up in the air or smash it to pieces.

I always thought that was a really cocky statement by Prince I'm not a huge fan of U2,but it's crazy for an artist to think that they deserve to win over someone else.SOTT was an incredible album but from what I remember,U2's album was very well-received and critically acclaimed,too.And besides,didn't Prince once say that "I don't care to win awards" (in DMSR)? lol

I was going by P's facial expression during his closeups..The day after the show the Org had a whole thread devoted to P's expression on Trey...and it wasn't pretty. If P was nice to him then that's cool.
