A few from- Too Short

I think the fact that Too Short was a early pioneer of west coast rap, and rap in general, is lost on some people. Dude was a pretty big influence on most of the early rappers from LA and the SF Bay Area. Back then you did have other influential WC rappers like Egyptian Lover, Captain Rapp, World Class Wreckin Crew, Ice T, King Tee, Uncle Jams Army, The LA Dream Team , etc, but most of them weren't as raw(on record)and arguably as, gangster, as Too Short.

I'm not saying that in real life, them dudes weren't as gangster or streetwise as Too short but on records, Too Short came off as the most streetwise of them all.

I remember when he came out with his first ep on the 75 Girls Records. We(WC Hip Hop heads) damn near lost or minds over that thing. That cassette was a must have for any young person that was into not just west coast rap but rap period.

Anyway as time went on, i kinda got more into socially conscious rap, and less into rappers like Too short, but nevertheless, Short Dog's influence is massive and he deserves much respect.
