Chocolate Factory Is Def All That

While coming from work, I thought I should check out "The Music Spinners" shop and I bought Lil'Kim's La Bella Mafia, Kelly Rowland's Stole, Dave Hollister's Thangs In The Game Done Changed and I bought Mr.Robert's Chocolate Factory,,,lol I know its too damn late but I didn't have the chance 2 buy it then.

Anyway, I was disapointed at Kelly and Dave's releases and enjoyed Kim & Robert's. Tell u the truth, R.Kelly's LP was the BEST of them all, I haven't heard it exlusively but I was supriced at how it turned out.

The arrangments were sooo 70's Motown-ish(Very Influenced by Marvin Gaye the most which isn't a new thang of R.Kelly) thats why I loved the set. So far, I enjoyed the Mid-tempos,,,somehow they're dreamy and soothing:

-Step In The Name Of Love: Both versions are off the hook. Matta o' fact, I prefer the remix cuz it has Paul Riser conducting the strings.

-You Knock Me Out: I sooo love the 70's early disco flava with the funky guitars. Reminds me a bit of Bobby Womack/Crutis Mayfleid.

-Dream Girl: How could 4get this song?? The song reminds me alot of MJ's Off The Wall mellow jams and even the falsetto.

-You Made Me Love You: Or let it be known as the modern day of Al Green's "Love & Happieness".

-Loveland: This song reminds me alot of Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" the same breakdown beat. So funky!

-Far More: Which is the BEST song from the Loveland CD,,this is what I'm talking about being 70's Motown-ish(Marvin & O'Jays) influenced. I sooo love this # nod

What do you guys think so far,,4 those who bought it!

Updated wink.,,,,,

Dave H's "Things In The Game..." was a waste of time. He's lost his status as an artist I always check for on that one.

Hands down the best album he has done. I have been waiting for him to do an album like this for awhile. The most mature songwriting too.

Syleena Johnson has a new one too "Guess What" (followup to R's "I Am Your Woman" from her previous LP). Check for the remixes on all of the above, all feature R on vocals.

I think you meant her and not Sunshine Anderson, I don't think he's worked with her yet but if he did she'd surely be back with a bang...

You're right Essence, as a matta o' fact he worked with both women. He did 3 songd 4 Miss Johnson(I'm Yo Woman-Guess What & its remix) Sunshine toured with him once she released her LP and I think I hear her say that she's gonna work with him in Hot.97. I also read some newsletter that he's gonna work with Angela Winbush on her new LP.

I also heard that Dr.Dre supposed 2 be a part of his project but he pulled the track when the (underage women) saga begun.

LOL Mr.Maxxx,,Mr.Biggs is a BIGGER fan than me, you and anyone else around here, why is that?? The ol' brutha believes in Robert.

I heard "Showdown" yesterday and I was thinking 2 myself "This joint could've been called Contagious-PT.2" it has similar story line. It woulda been phat if he made a video about it, I can see Mr.Biggs with his glasses and his hat calling 4 Asia lol. Dr.Dre is a fake ass nigga, I wasn't supriced when he did that 2 R.Kelly but the Truth song was waay b4 the saga. However, it woulda been cool 2 see him produce a song 4 the brutha,,,might as well if he brings Quik along so they add a lil' sumthin sumthin from the west coast funk flava nod

As 4 working with Miss Winbush,,I have this funny feeling that it will start a drama between him and Mr.Biggs. I hope I'm wrong tho. But I'd LOVE her 2 sing one of his tunes,,,I've alwaysed thought of him as the male version of Angela Winbush. Back in the 80, she made an influence on the RnB scene with some street taste as a producer, Mr.Robert did exactly the same in the 90's. Imagine them tearing the studio up in something they made 2ghether?? That would be the cherry on the pie of the week

LOL!!!back to Ronald Isley: you'd be Big on R.Kelly as well if He gave you a chance back into the Big Lights again because when R.Kelly reached out to Ronald Isley all was Happening besides Touring was them Collecting Loot off Older Catelog&also they weren't making any Loot.R.Kelly flipped the whole Script there&the Rest is History.

Ronald Isley said on 106&park that Him&Robert are doing a Film for "Showdown".Quik&R.Kelly worked together on the "Life" Soundtrack.Quik's Co-Producer G-One Co-Produced "Home Alone" off the "R" Album.

Do you know which other songs R did on that Life OST? I know he did "Life" for K-Ci & Jo Jo and I assume the tracks by Sparkle and The Isley Bros on there too. Any others?

question

I'd always assumed the Life OST was just K-Ci & JoJo on title track as far as R's involvement. I downloaded the duet with DJ Quik, great stuff. I have to check out his solo stuff.

The Syleena Johnson "Guess What" remix with R featuring is called "Guess What Else" by the way and just becoming available now.
