The "Cabbage Patch"

I know this is kind of random but do any of you 80s heads know about what year and maybe who popularised this dance. There wasnt vine or youtube to help dances go viral back then but they did anyway. Or maybe some cat did it on soultrain and bunch of people saw it and copied idk. Anybody got any info???
