I always say....if you're gonna lip-sync,at least do it convincingly Mariah is worse than Britney when it comes to lip-syncing

I really don´t know what´s wrong with some artist. Is it really that hard to sing a few songs?

She hardly gives concerts, she doesn't dance.

Can't believe she does much during the day. Shopping maybe?

And people spend money on those people, good money.

Britney makes millions with her vegas show by just standing there, move her arms a bit and lip sync...i really don't get it.

I saw the short video, and people don't understand that it was the CHORUS of "Fantasy" so the instrumental has the original lead recorded in 1995, and Mariah was adlibbing on top of it. As if she hasn't sung that song a kajillion times, people!

Well if you were paying to see her "perform" would you rather she lip-sync where you could just close your eyes and imagine she could still sing, or see her actually sing and miss all of her formerly trademark notes and sound really lack-luster on just about everything?

She was not really lipsyncing.

She had the melody from the song recorded as a backing track and was supposed to sing on top of it. Yeah, it's cheating too in a sense, but it's become very common with TV performances at least. The recorded backing track ensures that at least one of the voices is in key and what the performer sings on top of it will give it the live vibe. Most recorded songs have at least two voices recorded in that manner, it's hardly ever done with a single voice.

Seems like she just got confused by the backing track and couldn't keep up.

Looks to me like the vocal track to the verse was inadvertently triggered at the wrong moment. She probably had already "sung" that verse, and kind of sang over it like that to save face when it refired. Didn't a similar thing happen during Touch My Body on either GMA or the Today Show?

I don't think she ever really sang the verses to Fantasy live (even the MSG '95 performance looks iffy to me), and it's probably because it's right up there at the breaking point of her belting range.

I personally don't think she's performed any concert 100% live since Unplugged, and it seems that it has become more guide vocals and less live as the years go by.

Stories like this certainly aren't going to help her Vegas ticket sales.

No, the chorus to the Bad Boy remix of Fantasy is not "Sweet sweet Fantasy baby when I close my eyes", it's a repeat of the Tom Tom Club verse "I'm, in, heaaaaven...". So that chorus was playing back and she was singing on top of it, adlibbing. She was probably singing everything except the chorus, which is the only part shown in the video.

Every performer's instrumentals has the chorus intact. I guess everyone wanted her to try to double-sing the same thing on top?

Although i think she's the anti christs shit stain. I seriously wonder why people bother to see her live. J-LO is also a devils cum stain piece of smelly shit. But she's at least a decent dancer and has a ''production'' to entertain her fem fans. Shitney Spears does the same thing too. So i can at least see why people see them live.

Mariah? doesn't dance... not a very good production. Not a great band, vocal mess ups, lazy, slow etc. he just stands there... and stands there... no energy.

Watched it again and realized it's not the first verse that kicks in, it's the second verse. Also she seems very confused. However, can you imagine how difficult it must be when your concert vocals are half live/half tape, to remember where to come in with a live vocal and when you should be lip syncing?
