I'm ready for a new Janet Jackson album This weekend, as I was driving in the car running errands, Janet's song "You Want This" came on the XM radio.....my goodness, I hadn't heard that song in years and was on top of the world, singing and dancing in the car to it. I forgot about the endless fun songs that Janet has recorded!!! So yes, I'm ready for Ms. J. to come out with something new!!!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Listen to her last cd - that will kill your desire for more music.

I need Janet to have a world tour or at least show up at some festivals, so I can see her live!! When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

I'm ready for at least a new movie or soundtrack song. But yeah, I need SOMETHING.

Every time there's a Janet thread I say, "How about that next album, Janet?" "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

That was a very uneven album, but there are a few songs on it that I thought were good. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Not really, no. "Janet Jackson is like an 80s sitcom that's been off the air for over 25 years; you see a rerun and realize it wasn't that great..."

Perhaps this time off has or will give a fresh new perspective to a funky/fun album from her. I could be naive about it but I'm just hopeful that her next effort will be stronger than anything she's put out in the past 10-15 years. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

7 years since her last full album now. I would love to hear something new but would rather she be happy than feel pressured, cause the music will reflect that if she aint feeling it [Edited 1/21/15 12:42pm]

yes im ready, i be jamming to my janet pandora even though they dont play enough of her music. i didnt love the last album but it still had a few jams, feedback is one of my walking songs. to bad the usual trolls willcome and derail this harmless thread.

In fact, Feedback the album only grew on me during the wait. I was especially happy when she released "Nothing" the ballad. I would even take a very boring album from her.

i always hated the song 'so excited' but that came on one day and it actually sounded kinda good, i couldnt believe i was singing along and bouncing

I'm ready for a mature Janet Jackson album. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Been listening to the 2nd disc of Number Ones yesterday and I'm not sure she could still pull off interesting tracks... All For You & Discipline were horrible albums.

Considering most of her fans are now at LEAST in their late 20s, she could write something full of ballads. She could go do that Astrud Gilberto type of album.

Same. I also would like to see her experiment with some non mainstream producers and songwriters

- I still do. Major disappointment for me. The inaudible lead on the verses are unforgivable. You don't tell Janet Freakin Jackson to sound sexy or be sexy in the booth and press record; the same way you wouldn't tell Barry White to try to sound sexy. Shouldn't have left the studio with that one. Probably Janet's worst single and performance. I've adored her enough throughout the years to tell the truth with this song. - Now if she can get off that *ick long enough to record something fresh and new, I'd be a happy camper
