I'm ready for a new Q-Tip album

The Last Zulu has been rumored to be the forthcoming Q-Tip album since 2012, and was highly anticipated for 2014.

I know he's a perfectionist, and that's one of the reasons his work is great, but his last album of new material was 2008's The Renaissance before Barack Obama was even in office. It's time for a new one.

Why are these producers (Q-Tip, Pete Rock) so motivated when someone like Kanye West asks to collaborate with them, but can't follow through on their own projects?

Wasn't Q-Tip said a few years back to be signed to Kanye's GOOD label?

I still listen casually to Kamal The Abstract but I think he's the hip-hop/neo-soul version of Nate Dogg - he really spices up a track by his guest appearance.
