I think there's many possibilities as to how Lenny will fit into the show. Perhaps Katy will replicate Fergie's singing of Sweet Child O' Mine with Slash by singing one of Lenny's songs with him on guitar and doing backing vocals? Or maybe Lenny will do one of Katy's duet songs with her? But yeah, if I had to bet on one Lenny song being done it'd be American Woman and Katy could definitely share vocals on that one.

Ok! Now the show actually has the potential to be good

Well now that Lenny is playing it will be worth it. Not thrilled Katy Perry will be there.

The best part about this will be exposure. A lot of kids will be exposed to Lenny's music for the first time. Or someone might remember ''oh yeah! i forgot about this song'' that usually happens with these halftime shows. A renewed interest comes for the artist. I think the younger crowd knows Lenny more for his actiing (precious, hunger games) then his music.

I can't wait for the barage of "Who is this Lenny Kramitz guy singing with Katy Perry?" tweets.

I had planned on skipping the halftime show but will tune in now to see Lenny Kravitz. Is it me or do you all find it strange that a veteran act like Lenny Kravitz is playing a backup role for a chick who has been in the music business a solid five years or so? Something seems wrong with that scenario.

Uh, not so strange. The same thing happened last year too remember? And people were saying the same thing...but then he showed everybody that he was worthty of headlining the show. Now will Katy be able to to the same thing and wow everybody like the Brunz did last year? I dont think so, but hey she's getting her chance to shine. I'm just happy to hear that Lenny will be sharing the stage. I remember wanting him to share the stage with Bruno last year--now that would have been a great show!

Yeah a Lenny and Bruno show would have been really fun! We shall see how this Lenny and Katy Perry pairing will be like!

He is very mainstream, been involved with a lot of movies and been nominated for many awards because of it, has collaborated with many big name musicians of all different genres, has performed just about everywhere from Country Music Association awards shows and festivals to the Daytona 500 to his music being used in NBA promos. He's like the wind, he's everywhere ... the Dick Clark of today's music industry.

My teenage cousin knows nothing about Lenny's music, to her he's the guy from The Hunger Games.

Most MIGHT know a few of the hits, barely, but if you are talking 15 year olds. One I think the majority DONT know Lenny's Music at least nothing from the last decade, and TWO demographically the SuperBowl is NOT a teenagers game, its guys 25-40 mostly and women too, times have changed.

he is a boring and predictable performer imo.. He did the halftime for the CFL grey cup already and it was totally forgettable

It's all about mass appeal, artists who have the largest and most diverse fanbase. Everybody is familar with Lenny's music, it's hard to avoid when you hear it all the time in tv commercials and on public PA systems as part of that piped in Muzak.

And what musical artist from the 80's is still relevant? Nobody that I know.

Too bad, as I think Strut is pretty catchy, would fit the Superbowl nicely, and would be good promotion for his last album

LoL.......titty Perry and Lenny Krapits............well I am hosting a Superbowl Party so I plan on just putting in the dvd of Prince's performance so we can actually watch something decent
