Artist Who Have Mass Appeal Among Their Peers My cousin bought something rather interesting up to me. She said that while Beyonce has mass media appeal she also has the respect of her peers. People who actively competing against her fawn over her. About her album her performances, pretty much everything. It's interesting. I was just wondering what other artists you think had that kind respect/adoration from their peers?

I would include Prince in this category for sure. Prince is like a musician's musician, a celebrity's celebrity.

I remember seeing Adele on TV a few years ago at some awards show, her first first big appearance since becoming hugely famous. Every famous person in the room from McCartney on down was wildly gesturing how much they loved her. It was like they wanted to be seen approving of her on camera.
And lately, everybody wants to be seen hanging around Dave Grohl.
