Starting to really get into The GAP Band I've had a general, mainstream knowledge of these dudes (i.e. You Dropped a Bomb on Me) for most of my life but in recent years, I've slowly been listening to more of their songs (Party Train, Yearning for Your Love, and Outstanding I've been bumping for weeks now) and their music is FIRE and it's sad that outside of the R&B/ funk community, they are almost unknown unless you love old school music (like me). What are their best albums? Where should I start? How would you rank their entire discography?

Here's a new song from Charlie's upcoming album. Charlie & Stevie Wonder are also working with Snoop Dogg on Snoop's album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
