Who likes classical music? Sometimes when I want to relax I'll put on some soothing classical. I like some Mozart, Vivaldi...
Who likes classical now and again?

I have some Ravel, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky. Don't listen to it often though. I really have to be in the mood.

I like classical music a lot, but it's a difficult world to discover. Does anyone of you know Jacqueline du Pré? She played the cello brilliantly and died too young of MS. Especially the 'Ghost trio' of Beethoven is loveable when she plays it. And Dvorak...

Beethoven is my favorite, but i dig it all. Light classical is EXCELLENT for calming nerves, or a romantic ride along a country road on a starry/moonlit night ... feels like Heaven.

I love classical music. In fact, when I was little it was the only music I listened to. I refused to listen to pop and rock music on the radio. And then I heard Prince. So any music that was popular up until I was about 10 years old, I never listened to (on purpose) and didn't know who it was until much later. But I hear classical music every day in ballet class, because that's what the pianist plays of course. So I get my dose of it pretty often. Thanks for posting this, theSpark. I LOVE Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto No.5 in D Major," especially the 2nd movement. (Homey was like, the Billy Preston of the harpsichord! )
I ABSOLUTELY love Mendelssohn's "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E Minor, Op. 64, first movement" (especially as performed by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. I have this as performed by another orchestra featuring Itzhak Perlman, and it doesn't have the same gusto.) And big shout out to Prokofiev's Montagues & Capulets! I have a couple of Phillips comps including Vivaldi for Valentines, and Mozart for Moment commute among others. I recently discovered that the Sounds of Blackness have a CD called "Soul Symphony" but, I'm not sure if it's classical. I'm willing to find out, though.

Love classical. Witnessed Mozarts Requium with a full orchestra and choir last month. Powerful to say the least.
Going to see Don Giovanni at the end of April, can't wait. Bach, Vivaldi, Segovia, Paganini The list is endless.

I have respect for it, and was a classically trained pianist... but I'd be lying if I said I listen to it much at all.
Maybe I was just a rebelious guy at the school of music in college, but something about being there made me lose my interest in classical stuff. I'm pretty much rock n roll/r and b in my tastes now.

Chopin
Tchaikovsky (I'm too lazy to look up the correct spelling.. y'all know who I'm talking about!) Dvorzak (again, the spelling!) I like classical because it's so "layered", & rather.. "complex" I like how it s o o t h e s me, like when I'm taking a nice, long, hot bubble bath! I'll see you tonight..

The music is great, but I prefer newer composers. My faves are Rockmoninov, Prokofiev, Rimsky Corsokov, George Gershwin, Ennio Morricone, Frank Zappa, Edgard Varese, Prince. All you others say Hell Yea!!

When I was trained on piano as a kid Classical was all that was taught. And I rebelled. I wanted to play more swinging material! As I got older I developed more of a respect for it though. My boyfriend LOVES Classical, so I'm always exposed to it, even if I don't know the names of specific pieces. I tend to like the louder classical pieces, as compared to those that you can fall asleep to.
Chopin Mozart Beethoven Bach Tchaikovsky... This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
