First of all, KCool, D has NEVER tried to be a celebrity. He is and always has been, a MUSICIAN first. Something that Bouncy, aka, Beyonce, is not.

Unlike that unGodly plague of Kardassian whores, D has never pimped his personal life.

Those people have chosen to be celebrities, D has not.

Now, does he have a Twitter and FB? Yes, but it is firmly known that they are run by his record or pr people. D does not traffic in social media.

But that doesn't omit him from being a celebrity sweetie pie. Didn't D shoot a whole video NAKED singing about oral sex?! Sex sells! I know D has learned his lesson now, and regrets what he did. But he did, what he had to do, to get noticed & sell records just like prince did sugarlamb. biggrin

He will always be remembered by that "Untitled" video image by regular peeps. But real muziq lovers/musicians(like me), know he is the real deal, as far as an artist goes.

Stop trying to make me out to be condemning him! I am a fan.

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

To me this sounds like the 'Actual' reason why an album was released after 14 years.

D’Angelo Sets Himself Free by Paying Massive Tax Debt

Dec 31, 14

d-angelo*Fresh off of the release of his highly anticipated new album “Black Messiah,” D’Angelo made good with paying off a huge tax debt that amounted to more than $160,000.

According to theJasmineBrand.com, the 40-year-old vocalist (born Michael Archer) eliminated several tax liens filed against him by the IRS by paying the agency more than $162,000. Court documents filed on Dec. 12, reveal the IRS filed a federal tax lien release stating D’Angelo paid $32,348.70 for unpaid taxes for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Adding to that is a $130,137.09 lien the singer paid earlier this year over money owed for the year 2002.

The payoff of both liens resulted in the federal government reportedly releasing the liens while stating that D’Angelo had paid them in full and they will no longer be a thorn in his side by coming after his property and assets to collect on the $162,485.79 he owed them.

It's good he's getting his business straight now. Before the flood of millions come back in.

Yes, he strategically held his album back just to accrue more tax debt. I think you're really onto something!

I think I've cracked the secret. See, what's actually happening is that this is D's alter ego. Every time he starts to enunciate he begins to morph and power up and transforms out of his 'D'Mumblo' form. This is truly a rare sight!

Either way, I was probably late and shit. We're expecting our first kid so I'm behind on everything. Even stuff related to D'Angelo.
