I'm interested in seeing what Maxwell comes up with.A new album from him is long overdue.

I´m a big Sade fan but something was missing on the last two albums (Lover´s Rock and Soldier of Love). Don´t know what, maybe the lyrics, or maybe not enough saxophone but for some reasons those two albums didn´t do much for me.

I played Love De Luxe last night and was amazed how fresh and timeless it still sounds. The melodies are much more memorable than anything on the last two albums.

I second that... Love Deluxe is the last album I really love... What's missing? I don't know.

I think that first single from Lover's Rock first part, By Your Side, sounded too much like A Whiter Shade of Pale...

I concur with the sentiment pertaining to Sade's last two projects, enjoyable in part only, and to be so short that's not good. Love Deluxe set the bar really high and By Your Side was a poor first single. Actually i think that's it, Lover's Rock didn't really have strong singles, and after the title track, neither did Soldier of Love even though I love Morning Bird

No strong singles? By Your Side is one of Sade's significant songs.

REALLY?! It underperformed for someone of her stature after a long hiatus. Everyone I know who were pretty loyal fans hated the track and hoped it did not bode well for the rest of the album. i'm glad to hear its donew wllMaybe its a "geography" thing. Where u from?

It's clear that some artists just don't like being in the spotlight all the time.Sade is one of those artists who really values her privacy.She's the complete opposite of Beyonce It's tough for a fan to have to wait patiently for new music,but I sorta understand why some artists don't release music more frequently.They're busy living their lives.Fame ain't all it's cracked up to be,anyway.

I wonder why people say that music acts should take a break. It's a job. Most people can't take a long break from where they work. If they do, maybe they get the 2 weeks a year. Most performers don't have the luxury of taking a break. The bar band who plays at the club can't take 10 years off. Most records that are released don't sell much and never have, and even the acts that do, there is no guarantee of becoming rich because of the way contracts are set up. They can also have managers, accountants, & promoters rip them off. Sade Adu can because she's rich, that's all. If she wasn't, she'd be doing the oldies circuit like The Temptations. Bafore the 1970's the average act released 2 or 3 albums a year. Some like James Brown put out more than that. Session musicians worked constantly, playing on many albums.
