does anybody remember Georgio? Does anyone remember GEORGIo?
He had a dance hit Sex APPEAl in the 90's and i think he made one album. He sort of tried to be like PRINCE... (his video-particularly so...and i recalled he even tried to get in PRINCE's camp. the song was nice. but i didn't think he had enough Staying power to last. does anybody know what happened to him?

Well, I have to say that even if obviously he was acting as a copy of Prince, his first album "Sex Appeal" was really really good.
The title track IMO is one of the best songs of that year and the album also contains other great tracks like "Tina Cherry", "Bed Rock" and "Lovers Lane". I can't say the same for his following two releases (2nd album not that bad but too similar to the first...). Just my opinion.

You mean the 80's right?
The EIGHTIES. He released Sex Appeal sometime in late 86. I loved that song and still do! He was entertaining and of course a product of the whole Mineapolis Music scene that was hot at the time. But he was fun and raunchy. It was cool. I really enjoyed his first album. Great musical ideas and funky. He later, in like 91 or 92 released an album which had good songs but wasn't as good as the others. He had a song from this called "Rollin'" or something around that. I think he did actually work witth Prince or something. Or was going to work on an album with Prince...I forget the connection but it is there. Try Uptown magazine for info on that.

How could anyone forget Georgio? He had some decent stuff, but couldn't cut it in the end. Here's a funny, recent thread on him...
