I have seen U2 from the "second bowl" and actually they have the BEST unique stage that looks great from any angle or point in the round. That's why it was called 360 tour!

Looks like $45 for some kind of tickets no longer available - maybe the floor - and from $118 to $595 for seats. $595 is a VIP package that includes extra stuff.
That's still damn high! I'm amazed there are seats available right now for a U2 area show, but based on those prices, it will take a while to sell out.

Just once I'd like to see an artist auction off the 1,000/2,000 best tickets. Take bids for a week, and then start assigning seats based on bid amount. Whoever bid the highest gets the best seats; second-highest gets next, etc.

I paid $40 for first row second level next to the stage seats to see Stevie Wonder last Friday. Great view with the naked eye. I couldn't have asked for a better price or a better seat IMO unless it was directly in front of the stage. Guess it depends on where you live. Those seats were $280+ in Detroit, mainfloor was $340+, the rafters were the cheapest at $85

I remember in 1988,I saw Prince's Lovesexy show in Oakland. The ticket price was only $22.50.
Two years later,I saw Madonna at the same venue. The ticket price was $29.
These days,I don't expect to see anyone for under $100

Back then Artists rec'd points on retail sales so ticket prices were reasonable. YOU might still buy - but few others do and this is what today's ticket prices reflect. Gotta get paid somehow.

They were STILL the top stars then! No "legend" act was charging more than the current stars.
