Great song, great album, and masterfully produced by Kurtis Mantronik. He was so young when he produced this and many other albums for Sleeping Bag Records.

Her second album sounded a bit flat without that Mantronik sound.

I saw Joyce Sims on TV the other day, she´s still around and doing club tours.

Loved my cassette of the album, re-bought the CD a couple of years ago. Also found this 1995 Warlock 12" last year, with a couple of version I hadn't heard before on it. I also see it got a remix treatment on a release in 2004.

It was a decent album, just not very memorable, and it didn´t have that unique, cohesive sound of the Mantronik-produced debut album. Kurtis Mantronik was a beast, a true workaholic in those days...he produced his own albums, albums for rappers T La Rock and Just-Ice and Joyce Sims...among others. Too bad they didn´t keep him for Joyce´s and Just-Ice´s sophomore albums. His music after his Sleeping Bag phase was interesting and catchy, too, but different. That Sleeping Bag big beat sound never came back.

He is DJing and still producing these days. Dude was very, very young back when he produced all those songs. Incredible talent, incredible biography.

Thanks for the review KoolEaze. I want to check it out. I agree Mantronik is the bomb. I need to look him and see if he's got some newer music.
