I love Otis Redding. He caresses every word and leaves you just waiting in anticipation. I will say this though. Of the 20 most well known songs, there are so many tracks that just milk earlier ones.
Same ad-libs being used, crossover of lyrics between songs. If they had something that worked, they banged out a carbon copy with slightly different lyrics. Same structures etc. Anyway, it matters not. Everything he sang on was worth listening to purely for his voice. My personal favourite is These Arms Of Mine. | |
