. I can't add anything to how this lyric might relate to a possible Patti/Missy feud, but there's something else that's been bugging me; I seem to recall that a male emcee once referenced the lyric, only he made it into "What I look like? Missy Elliott or something?" . I want to say that it was in a Flypmode Squad song, but I can't for the life of me remember where it was in or who said that line. . I don't want your rhythm without your rhyme

There was no beef/battle/diss or anything like that The line meant that she does more then singing and she can rap too which she went into... minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

. It's probably also notable that, 5 years after 'Not Tonight' and the Missy line, Patti expressed her gladness about the cover version by Kim, Xtina, Pink, and Mya, which was co-produced by Missy. So if there was any type of feud, the hatchet was probably buried by that point in time. . I don't want your rhythm without your rhyme

All I know is that Missy's "rap" on that song was literally cringe-worthy. I see why they put her last and gave her next to no time. She shoulda just did the hook. "Janet Jackson is like an 80s sitcom that's been off the air for over 25 years; you see a rerun and realize it wasn't that great..."
