I watch the video for that 2 or 3 times a week all year long, It's that good. I remember her performing it on The Rosie O Donnell show in 2001, 5 years after the recording was released. I wish that video was on youtube too.

2000 Miles" is a song by The Pretenders that was released in 1983 (see 1983 in music) as the preceding single to their 1984 album, Learning to Crawl. It was most popular in the UK, where it peaked at No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1983. In the US, it was released as the B-side of both the 7-inch single and 12-inch single remix of the band's hit, "Middle of the Road." Considered a Christmas song, it has been released on various Christmas compilation albums. While most people believe 2,000 miles is the distance between two long distance lovers who miss each other over the holidays, it is actually meant to be for James Honeyman-Scott, the group's original guitar player, who died the year before the song was released.[citation needed] The official video features lead singer Chrissie Hynde dressed as a member of the Salvation Army in a snowy location.

NEED TO FIND A SONG: There was a holiday song recorded by a young black female artist within the last 5 years. It had a Janelle Monae-esque, upbeat vibe to it. I heard it on AccuRadio and only saw the album cover, which featured her against a red background. I didn't catch the name of the artist or song.

I don't know who does a better version of "Noel" Celine Dion or Josh Groban...They soar into their upper-register with ease...Mariah Carey's Christmas Album is probably the BEST Xmas Album EVER...It was re-released again this year and like Always it made the top 20 Pop Charts... | |
