Pfft... None of my friends (mostly in the entertainment biz and fashion world) are ratchet and they adore and obsess over Beyoncé... I don't particularly like this video tho, but she has an eye for pop culture that's for sure (all my indie pop/ IG famous friends are loving it)... to me she is getting close to that age where it's like "what am i going to do" do i stay with what is popular even though i'm older than what the mainstream wants etc....Mariah hit that phase and still can't adapt and grow up, and you see where her albums go. My feeling is this is the textbook definition of "teaser" track. Which is perfect considering it's sort of a reintroduction to the album with bonus tracks.

Change the beat and this could be a "jerk rap" song, although jerk never really caught on in the mainstream. Even tho I often struggle with the flavors of her musical evolution(s,) I always come back a year later with fresh ears and end up appreciatin' the wonder of her artistry. It's amazing, really.
