Frankie Goes To Hollywood- Rage Hard & Welcome To The Pleasuredome Some killer 80's production on these tunes. Rage Hard is a silly but fun ''80's anthem'' Welcome To The Pleasuredome is a fucking masterpiece. The sound design and proudction on it are incredible. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Yes, this was Trevor Horn at his production best. The lads were indeed skillful musicians and lead singer Holly Johnson certainly made an impressive debut. Despite the fact that by their second album, their popularity was met with critcism over their work, but now - 30 years later - we can look back and appreciate their talent. For the last 20 years there has been nothing but a string of remixes, best-ofs, and re-hashes of their brilliantness. I'm not sure what is more unfortunate, the fact that die-hard fans are constantly treated to yet another collection of the same songs... or the fact there simply is no new music from FGTH. It was certainly a memorable era!

whilst there's been no "new" music in regards to new songs, the last 2/3 years ZTT has put out a number of reissues and compilations with previously unreleased material, including previously unreleased and unheard cover versions and outtakes and mixes and demos. in addition to this, blank and jones released a so80s compilation of ZTT material that they had remixeda themselves, using only sounds/tracks that were recorded in the initial sessions, so no added drum machines and keyboards like the dance mixes that came out, but new mixes faithful to the originals. the most recent welcome to the pleasuredome multi disc reissue had a bunch of stuff i'd never heard before and i have one of the most comprehensive collections of their material. of course ztt spin it out so you get a few new things on 2 cds and a pile of stuff you already have 17 times already
