I have a confession to make! I want the world to know! I have a confession to make. This is something I have felt inside for a long time. Some think I was born with it, some think I was just turned on to it by somebody. I struggled with telling people this for a long time, and I was afraid for years that my family would find out. I've been living a lie, and it's time to come clean, so I'm coming out!
I love jazz! I love jazz and I don't care who knows it! I think people on this forum can be understanding. Most of my friends prefer the curves of a guitar, but I just love the sound of those long, thick saxophones...even the little flutes. Hearing the trombone slide in and out and in and out...I love them all! And I'm not just talking about smooth jazz, you know, that stuff on the radio. I mean total, HARDCORE jazz. None of that Kenny G and David Sanborn...give me John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, even Pharaoh Sanders...free jazz...where a bunch of guys get together and play anything they want for hours. They just play and play and play. Plus, most jazz guys aren't tied down to one band, so they can play with any band they want. It's great! It's been hard to find people to tell this to, because most jazz players look like everyone else. But buy a guy a few drinks and you find out all kinds of stuff about Phrygian modal playing! I hope you all are understanding and can accept me for the jazz fan I am.

Wes Montgomery is the man and Charlie Christian is the master. [This message was edited Sat Mar 22 21:00:39 PST 2003 by NovaAngel] "I ordered no broth! I have another confession to make. Of course I like jazz but everyone knows and I only started this thread in response to the bkw threads in General Discussion. That means this thread was really a joke and I had help writing it. Thank you all for your support and also for the suggestion to listen to jazz guitar. I have Pat Metheny's Song X on vinyl and compact disc also the "Kathelin Gray" 12" promo, as I told you, I am into HARDCORE jazz. Thank you for your time.

I'm really thinkin that this orger is somebody else. He used to be very aggressive, closeminded, calling people names and not being able to carry one single debate. Now he has changed 180 degrees. I wonder what happened. "Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany"
