James Ingram vs Peabo Bryson vs Jeffrey Osborne

These three are major soul singers who specialized in ballads in the early 80's era. I've noticed that they have comparable hit ballads. Which one is your favorite? Who is your favorite singer of these?

"Just Once", "If Ever I'm in Your Arms Again" or "On the Wings of Love"?

Jeffrey Osborne is my favorite singer and likely has my favorite song of the three though "Just Once" comes close.

Peabo is number one for me, followed by a very close second, Jeffrey. Never a big fan of James'.

Jeffrey and Peabo in a dead heat. Jeffrey might have a slight edge for his L.T.D. work.

"If Ever You're In My Arms Again" is one of the most beautiful songs of all time in any genre. Peabo Bryson is my favorite, closely followed by Jeffrey Osborne and James Ingram. All three are exceptional and outstanding vocalists!

Hmm, I love bucket loads of cheesy songs, but never thought much of that one, and Iam a big fan of his.

Anyway, it's close between Peabo and James for me. James probably edges it, but tends to ham it up at times, whilst Peabo is more restrained in my opinion. Love both of them though. Osbourne's music isn't up to the other 2 in my book, but I do still like his classic cheese " On the wings of love". Osbourne is no powerhouse compared to the other 2 though.

Yeah, I agree with Graycap...

Bryson and Osborne in a dead heat, that's a flip a coin choice. Then you'd won't to flip again because you think the other guy was robbbed of being selected. lol

I like James Ingram but the scope of his discography is narrow, in my opinion. Good but narrow...
