There is a McDonald's commercial running right now that features a song that sounds like classic Shalamar.

The lyrics are something like, "You.... and I.... back together again."

Anyone know the title and who is singing it?

I don't know, but I DO know it's a Roberta Flack / Donny Hathaway song from 1979 that I believe was released after he died, but don't quote me on that.

I can't seem to find the commercial to verify, but could it be this 2007 version by Soularis, Pete Simpson, and Mandy Edge? Maybe it doesn't quite sound like Shalamar, but it's plenty disco-y:

Yes - that's definitely the song. The one in the commercial, however, must be a slightly slower version. You're on to something there!
